Mannam judo is good at Ground Sparring

It seems like being a while and posting loads of ground sparring. 

But, today will be very refreshing one because we are going to focus on different types of sparring though. 

Generally, there are different names and forms of sparring in terms of sports. 

Not only judo has sparring techniques but also many different martial arts have sparring. 

In Muay Thai and boxing, sparring is normally called sparring. 

But, Chinese martial arts, Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, and Japanese martial arts are used in their own jargon like San shou(Pushing hands), rolling and randori. 

This video clip shows how the two different level of judoka plays.

Black belt judoka is Sungbae who volunteer as the instructor at Mannam Judo club.  

Another judoka with brown-belt has been learning judo at the club for one year, improving a lot.

What is 'Ground Sparring'? 

There was some confusions about the difference between free practice and ground sparring. So let me clarify about this technique.

A kind of sparring is also known as "free practice" in Judo. 

Rocked! can not move at all. 

Two players attempt to submit or defeat each other the ground techniques, such as a chokehold or joint lock, one submits which we learnt before.

In free practice, tapping the mat or one's opponent at least twice is the manner that clearly  indicates the submission. 

When this happen, the tapping player has lost and the match is over.
